The gospel isn’t just good advice—it’s good news.
At the heart of Christianity is this:
We were made for relationship with God. But we’ve all fallen short. Sin separates us—not just because we’ve broken the rules, but because we’ve rejected the Ruler. And the penalty of sin is death. Not just physical death, but spiritual death—eternal separation from God.
But God didn’t leave us there.
Out of immeasurable love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who lived the perfect life we could never live, and then took upon Himself the judgment we deserved.
This is what the Bible calls propitiation—Jesus didn’t just die because of sin, He died for it. He satisfied the righteous wrath of God, and in doing so, made a way for us to be forgiven.
But it gets even better.
When we put our faith in Jesus, we aren’t just declared “not guilty.” We’re declared righteous. God doesn’t just remove our sin—He clothes us with the righteousness of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21).
We’re adopted into His family. We receive every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). We are loved, known, and made new.
This gift is free. But it must be received.
The Bible says:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
That’s not about magic words—it’s about a true surrender of your heart. But a prayer can be the beginning of that surrender.
If you’re ready to take that step, you can pray something like this:
“Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins, and rose again. I know I can’t save myself. I turn from my sin and place my trust in You. Forgive me. Make me new. I surrender my life to You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for loving me, for saving me, and for giving me new life. In Your name, amen.”
If you prayed that prayer—whether for the first time or as a return home—We’d love to support you.
