Anchored in John 6

“If the Father draws someone, Jesus raises them up. Period.”

There was a time when Addy believed she had to prove her love to be accepted. That if she could just be good enough, quiet enough, patient enough, or strong enough, she might earn a kind of love that would not be taken away. But even then, it still felt unstable. Like the ground could shift. Like security was always one wrong move away.

But in Christ, everything changes.

John 6 gives a steadier truth. Not earned. Not fragile. Not conditional. Something guaranteed from start to finish because it rests on God’s sovereign love, not our ability to hold everything together.

You are held, not just loved, but secured

John 6:37
“All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”

You are not on probation. You are not auditioning for love. You were given to Jesus by the Father, and He does not lose what is given to Him. He does not cast out what He has received in love.

Your forever is His will

John 6:39
“This is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.”

His will is not only to save you, but to keep you. Addy, you are held in nail scarred hands that do not slip. Not when you are tired. Not when you doubt. Not when you fall.

Eternal life is now

John 6:47
“Whoever believes has eternal life.”

Has. Not might have. Not will have if you behave well enough. If you trust Him, you have eternal life right now. And if it could be lost, it would not be eternal.

You are not just included, you are united

John 6:54
“Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

This is not about performing rituals to earn standing. It is about intimacy. A soul so joined to Jesus’ sacrifice that His life becomes yours. You are not a guest in the house of grace. You are family at the table.

Drawn, not desperate

John 6:44
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.”

You were not saved because you finally got it right. You were drawn by a God who loved you first. And when God draws someone, Jesus raises them up. No conditions. No hidden contracts. Just covenant love.

Final word for Addy

Addy, you are the most loving and accepting woman I have ever known. But you do not need to prove that to be kept in Christ. You are secure, not because you love Him perfectly, but because He loves you perfectly.

You are drawn.
You are kept.
You are raised.
You are His.

“I will never cast you out.” – Jesus

John 6:37
